We come to you! At Fair Assessing Mobile Roadworthys, your time is valuable to us, so we come to you. We conduct a fair inspection of your car, 4wd or truck at your premises, saving you time, money and inconvenience. We also conduct free reinspections (conditions apply) if there is a defect within 14 days of the 1st inspection.
We recommend getting your car/truck in a condition that you believe will pass the inspection prior to booking in with us to prevent delays.
Please have your car clean and preferably parked in an undercover area (especially in wet season)

How long DOES a safety certificate INSPECTION TAKE AND HOW LONG IS IT current for?
A Safety Certificate inspection for light vehicle conducted by Fair Assessing mobile roadworthies will take approximately 30-45 minutes to conduct.At the conclusion of the vehicle inspection, we will complete a report onsite and either email you your safety certificate or If the vehicle fails the safety inspection, you will be emailed an inspection report and you have 14 days to rectify the problem and call us back out for a re-inspection.
Licensed motor dealers: Certificates are valid for 3 months or 1000km (whichever comes first) from the date of issue.
All other sellers: Certificates are valid for 2 months or 2000km (whichever comes first) from the date of issue.

Heavy vehicle certificate of inspection
Our mobile heavy vehicle certificate of inspection (COI) services can be booked 6 days a week (Mon-Sat), before and after standard business hours, for your convenience. That enables you to carry on ‘working’ with minimal interruption to your schedule. Heavy vehicles are those that have a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of between 4,500kg and up to 16,000kg. It’s the obligation of the owners of all of these vehicles, to ensure they have a current COI, which has been issued by an Approved Inspection Station (AIS). The COI must be kept current at all times. We recommend booking your mobile COI heavy vehicle inspection, to take place within a 2 month window prior to your current certificate expiring.

Clearance of defect notices
Defect notices can be issued to you directly, by a police or transport officer during a routine inspection / interception. So, what do you do when you have received a defect notice? Well, the notice itself has all the information you need to take action; amongst other things, it details the faults identified and the type of inspection required to clear the defect notice. On the back of the notice, it will also tell you who is authorized to clear the defect notice and if it has a tick for an Approved Person from an Approved Inspection Station (AIS), we can help you as we have AIS approved examiners, accredited by the Queensland Government, Department of Transport and Main Roads.
